TRAVEL BLOG THURSDAY - SAN FRANCISCO
HOW TO DO SAN FRAN IN 6 HOURS || SAN FRANCISCO || CALIFORNIA || USA || October 2017
In October of 2017 I spent my birth month solo traveling. One day I decided to do San Francisco but I couldn’t find a dog sitter so I only had a few hours to spend there. It’s very easy and cheap to get to San Fran from Seattle so keep that in mind. I also only packed a small backpack for water, my phone charger, a jacket, lotion, chapstick, and my wallet. Here is a guide to see San Francisco in 6 hours (or at least how I did); great for if you have a long layover or if you can’t find a dog sitter. Ha!
List of “San Francisco-y” Foods to Try
Ciopinno - the one I ordered was realistically for 2 people. That’s the only problem with solo travel; there’s no one to share all the food with but *shrugs* I lived my best life and just ate the expensive parts. I had them wrap up the rest so I could give my leftovers to a hungry or homeless person if I happened across someone during my walk. Other than the food sharing part, solo travel is EVERYTHING!!!
Sour Dough Bread - came with my Cioppino
Ghirardelli Chocolate - not necessary but cool if you try it there since the company is based there. Sometimes if you walk by a shop, they will give you a free sample so you don’t even have to pay for anything; win!
Fish & Chips
I also had an ice cream sandwich from The Baked Bear that was amazing while at the Fisherman’s Wharf!!
Golden Gate Bridge
Painted Ladies
Seals
Cable Car
I ended up going back to San Fran in January of 2018 with some friends and spent the weekend. I saw more stuff which I’ll share at some point in the future.
Thanks for reading all these words!
Love ya!
