MAGNOLIA SWEET SUN TEA

Magnolia Sugar & Hart Honey Sun Tea

Another recipe using the same magnolia & honey sugar…This Magnolia Sweet Sun Tea is my floral twist on a Southern summertime classic.

Yield: 2½ quarts

PREP IT!

For Magnolia Honey Sugar:

  • 1½ cup Sugar, granulated

  • 2 tablespoons Hart Honey (local to Tacoma, WA. My friend Natalie’s dad makes it and was kind enough to share)

  • 1 flower’s worth Magnolia petals

For Sun Tea:

  • 2½ quarts Water, filtered

  • 3 bags Black tea, mild

  • ½ cup Magnolia & Honey Sugar, or to taste

  • Ice, for serving

MAKE IT!

  1. Fill a clean 90-ounce glass pitcher with filtered water.

  2. Add the tea bags and cover the jar with a lid or plastic wrap.

  3. Place the pitcher in direct sunlight for 2–4 hours, depending on the outdoor temperature and desired tea strength. Remove the tea bags once the tea reaches your preferred flavor.

  4. While the tea is still slightly warm, stir in the Magnolia & Honey Sugar until completely dissolved.

  5. Refrigerate until well chilled.

  6. Serve over ice. Enjoy!

Tips: The tea is great with the Magnolia Tea Cakes or mixed with Lavender Chamomile Lemonade.
