MOMMY'S BAKED BEANS

MOMMY’S BAKED BEANS

This is my mommy’s recipe and I’ve copied her directions exactly how she texted them to me…

Yield: 9-12 servings

PREP IT!

  • 2 pounds Hot ground sausage (She uses Bass brand)

  • 84 ounces Baked beans, canned (She used Bush’s brand)

  • 4 stalks (1½ cups) Celery, diced small

  • 1 large Red bell pepper, diced small

  • 2 small (2 cups) Yellow Onion, diced small

  • 2 teaspoons Taste Tutor Seasoning 101

  • 2 tablespoons Taste Tutor Carolina BBQ Seasoning

  • 4 tablespoons Brown sugar, dark

  • 4 teaspoons Molasses

  • 4 teaspoons Creole mustard

MAKE IT!

  1. Cook and drain sausage.

  2. Chop veggies.

  3. Drain beans.

  4. Mix all ingredients together and spread in a 9 x 11 or larger baking pan.

  5. Bake at 365F for about 45 minute to 1 hour. (Her favorite oven temperature to cook things on is 365F but you can use 350F if your oven doesn’t have that option)

Tip: This recipe freezes well so try making it ahead of time.

Reheat leftovers: in the oven or in the microwave.
